Mandrika Art is the creative world of Latvian artist Dana Mandrika, where the feeling of the Baltic Sea becomes abstract art and one-of-a-kind jewelry.
The paintings are not landscapes, but feelings translated into colour, shape, texture and space. Some are created with real Baltic sand, others carry the movement of water, changing coastal light, storms, stillness and natural imperfection.
Sea glass and stones personally found along the Kurzeme shoreline become jewelry that preserves the unique forms shaped by the sea.

Natural Baltic Sea sand, earthy terracotta, deep brown and soft beige form a quiet geometric composition inspired by the mineral tones of the coast.
The sand is left deliberately raw and uneven, allowing its natural texture to remain part of the artwork.

Pasir is part of the Language of Sand collection, where each artwork is named after the word “sand” in a different language. Pasir means sand in Indonesian.
The painting is created with natural sand personally collected from beaches along the Latvian coast. Different textures of sand are brought together with earthy browns, soft beige, muted whites and a small terracotta accent.
Simple geometric forms meet the raw, imperfect texture of the material. Some areas are smooth, others remain rough and tactile, allowing the sand to keep something of its original character.
There is a quiet sense of balance in Pasir. A connection between structure and imperfection, stillness and something more instinctive.

Every piece begins by the Baltic coast. I personally collect the sea glass and stones along the Kurzeme shoreline, then turn each unique find into jewelry without taking away the character shaped by the sea.
